Confederate flag dress gets girl booted from prom

Texanna Edwards knows how to make an entrance. The senior at Gibson County High School in Dyer, Tenn., arrived at her prom with a dress that turned heads -- featuring a pattern of the Confederate flag. School officials turned Edwards away, telling her she could return if she changed her dress. Edwards refused, at a loss for why her dress was "offensive and inappropriate." Her defense? Black people loved it! "We kept asking people walking inside -- black and white -- and everyone said they loved it," Edwards claims. "Two black women even went off on the principal. They were upset with the principal. No one was upset with me."
